Richard Crawford: Green Party parliamentary candidate for Gravesham

Richard lives in Meopham and works in Gravesend as a postman. He has stood as a Green Party candidate in 4 local elections (Gravesham Borough Council & Kent County Council). He has done voluntary work with several charities including the Scouts, the Samaritans, TOC H, War on Want, BTCV and the London Wildlife Trust. He has a degree in History & Politics.

He has also had articles published on the shameful expulsion of the Chagossian people from the British Indian Ocean Territory to make way for an American military base - availabe here.

As well as the Green Party, Richard is a member / supporter of Survival International, Human Rights Watch, Oxfam, Medecins sans Frontieres, UK Chagos Support Association, Free Tibet Campaign & Burma Campaign UK.
